Too much of a good thing can be bad.
A passion to be discussed may be, being patient. Aristotle may agree this is a great virtue to have however it also has its vices. Like the title says…too much of a good thing can be bad, sure being patient is seen as a good characteristic although, an excess of patiences or deficiency would be viewed as bad. A deficiency in patient would be an easygoing person who may let people walk all over them for example, if someone is too easygoing and lent money to a friend who has not paid them back in over three years would be unacceptable. On the other hand being impatient isn’t great either, if the person tries to cook chicken for dinner and is too impatient to let the chicken totally be cooked and eat it half raw, they may receive food poisoning. That is why it is important to find a mean, an example of a mean in patiences would be, being tolerant, not too impatient nor easygoing to be able to use your virtue/passion at a perfect balance.

True, too much of anything can utilimately cause hard to you. Another example, is drinking too much water. Water is something we are made up of and we are told that it is good to drink plenty of it every single day. Yet, we taking in large amounts over a short period one can die.
I like this analysis. Maybe the person is too impatient to cook chicken so he goes to KFC where he gets food poisoning too. I don’t think that being patient necessarily has to mean that the person is easygoing however. There are people who can be very patient yet very opinionated or selective.
I think that patience is so important and should be considered a virtue. I have no patience in anything and it effects other things in my life, but in the same respect, if I had patience I wouldnt experience many things and maybe I wouldnt be the way I am, and I’m pretty content with my life.
I agree that to much patience would not be good. Not only may it might make you easy going but extreme patience may cause you to miss an opprtunity that doesnt always come around. You cant always wait for everything, you have to go out and get it sometimes.
how does one know what exactly is the right amount of tolerance? i think that it is important for people to know when to stand and when to sit that is what patience is all about for me. timing iss everything and its not what you say but how you say it
